Abstract:

Internet verification/verification platforms have become the organizations that have attracted more attention in recent years. The concerns that false/fake news, especially through social media, increased its influence and that the truth has reached a position that can mislead the public, has increased the importance of such formations. Similarly, the importance of how effective the internet verification/verification platforms are in the fight against false/fake news. Moving from this point, this study aims to focus on the awareness and widespread use of internet validation/verification platforms among university students. The findings of the survey method showed that such organizations have a low level of use among students. Two of the main reasons behind this situation have shown that such platforms have a low level of awareness and a ‘security problem’ towards platforms.
