Özet:

In this study, the role and functions of the children's police in the Children's Branch Directorate were explained and the child-police relationship with the children's police of the crime was discussed in the context of the social service discipline. In order to understand the subject more clearly, the historic development of the Children's Branch Directorate, the organizational structure and the place and importance of social service in these branches have been included. In Turkey, a limited research in the literature of the children's police makes this work necessary. The main material of the study consists of written sources, children's policy and children's relationship written articles, reports, documents and the theses with academic opinions working on this topic.

In this study, the roles and functions of the children police in the Police Departments for Children were explained and the child-police relationship with children pushed to crime was discussed in the context of social work discipline. In addition, for the sake of clarity of the subject, the historical development of the Directorates of Police Departments for Children, the structure of the organization, and the place and significance of social work in these departments are given. The fact that limited number of research in this area in Turkey justifies the necessity of this study. The main materials of the study consist of written sources, articles, reports, documents and theses written on children police and child relations and academicians' opinions on this subject.
