The aim of this research is to determine the attitudes of classroom teacher candidates towards scientific research. The survey model was used in the research from quantitative research methods. The universe of the research consists of prospective teachers who are studying at Kastamonu University Faculty of Education Class Education Department, during spring semester of 2017-2018 academic year. The sample of the research consists of 235 prospective classroom teachers who are studying at the first and fourth grade levels determined by using the criterion sampling technique from within this universe. As a data collection tool, "Attitude Scale Towards Scientific Research" which was developed by Korkmaz, Şahin and Yeşil (2011) and personal information form was used. The data on the personal information form are determined as gender and grade level. Positive and negative items are taken into account while the data is encoded in the statistical package program, and the items that need to be encoded in reverse are coded and scored. In the analysis of the data obtained from the research, the arithmetic mean, percentage and frequency technique as well as independent t-test for unrelated samples were used. Independent t-test analysis was deemed appropriate because of the homogeneous distribution of data. According to the findings of the research, it was determined that the teacher candidates of the fourth grade are more positive attitudes towards scientific researches than the first grade teacher candidates. However, it has been determined that the fourth-tier teacher candidates are more willing to help researchers engaged in scientific research. When the findings were examined, it was determined that there was no significant difference between the mean scores of female and male teacher candidates who participated in the research from the scale compared to the gender variable.
