Ahmet Muhtar’ın, 1885 yılında eski harflerle yayımlanmış “Mestûre-i Aşk yahut Muhabbetin Neticesi Cinayet” başlıklı beş perdelik piyesi, Tanzimat döneminin “kadın-erkek ilişkisi” temalı piyeslerinin ilginç bir örneğidir. Karabet ve Kasbar Matbaası tarafından basılan ve eski harfli orijinal nüshası Atatürk Kitaplığı’nda bulunan eserde, hem “tek taraflı yahut birbirinden habersiz yaşanan aşklar” hem de “sevmedikleri kişilerle zorla evlendirilen gençler” konusu bir arada işlenir. Piyes, başkasını sevmesine karşın istemediği biriyle evlendirilen genç kızın, gerdek gecesinde, bu işte hiçbir suçu olmayan eşini öldürecek kadar uç noktada bir intikam planı yapması itibarıyla aynı kategorideki diğer eserlerden ayrılır. Eserin incelenmeye değer bulunmasındaki bir başka etken de eserde yer alan karakterlerin iç sesleriyle dışa yansıyan konuşmalarının taban tabana zıt olmasıdır. Bu çalışmada eserin, aynı temalı diğer piyeslerle farkı ortaya konularak eserdeki karakterlerin iç (kafa) seslerinin, dışa yansıması halinde, hikayenin kaderinin nasıl değişeceği ve yazarın neden böyle bir tekniğe başvurduğu araştırılacaktır. Bunun yanı sıra eski harflerle yayımlanmış piyesin transkripsiyonu yapılarak okuyucuyla buluşmasına katkı sağlanacaktır.

In the work, printed by Karabet and Kasbar Printing House and the original copy in old alphabet is in the Atatürk Library, both "unilateral or unaware each other loves" and "teens forced to marry by people they don't like" processed. At the play, although the young girl loves another, forced to marry and she makes a revenge plan to kill her husband in the first night even though without any blame in this case. For this reason the game is separated from other works in the same category. Another factor in the fact that the work is worthy of examination is that inner voices of characters and outward reflection are in completely contrast. In the study, will be investigated that in case of the inner (head) voices of the characters reflect to outward how will change destiny of story. In addition to this, by transcribing the original published in the old letters will contribute to the meeting with the reader.
