The coasts are important areas in which people have been interested and benefited in many activities from past to present, and which take part in the intersection field of land and sea ecosystems. As a result of population increase and migration, unstable and unbalanced development are bringing about destroying all living organisms which want to stay alive. As time goes by, the demands to coastal areas which have fertile potential are increasing and tourism, industrial investments cause destructions which will never recycle. Ordu coasts are also in high demand especially in recent years. The coastline of Ordu where intensive coastal use is about 100 km. This study focuses on the recent developments in the Ordu coasts and the possible effects on the marine ecosystem
