Nowadays, circumstances cause hardening of competition between firms. In the process of transition from the industrial society to the information society, the service sector and hence the restaurant business is increasing its share in the economy. Restaurant enterprises should have superior aspects to achieve their goals such as realizing higher profits, growth, continuing their presences. In our study, we analyzed the factors that affect profitability of firms. To this aim we conducted a survey on managers of restaurant enterprises on Kastamonu center by face to face method. Results show that managers who are educated from Primary-Middle school, Lychees should be more informed about factors which affect profitability.
