The purpose of this study is to analyze the expressions of value as written on the web pages of the state and private universities in Turkey, and to establish how universities conceive values and which of the expressions of value are highlighted. An attempt has been made to have access to web pages of the universities as well as the strategic plans provided on the web pages in order to establish the expressions under the heading of values of the universities. The scope of this study consists of 103 state and 65 private universities. As a result of the analysis, value expressions were accessed on the web pages of 83 universities, and these universities comprised the study group. The data obtained was subjected content analyses and evaluated creating themes and categories. The values of the universities gathered around 11 themes, which are justice, scientific approach, honesty and transparency, being human oriented, being universal, development and improvement, participation, leadership, freedom, sense of community and productivity, and in total 1022 expressions of value were found. The universities mentioned community value expressions the most, and productivity value expressions the least.
