The rapid developments taking place in the world have affected the medical education as in all domains. In the light of these developments, the question of how the medical education should be formed has emerged. It has been concluded that medical education should enable learners to internalize the ability to learn autonomously, and it should take place in a dynamic process. Identfying the current state of medical education in our country is considered important in order to see where we are in terms of the desired (required) level of education. In this study, it has been aimed is to reveal the current situation with regard to the anatomy course at universities and to identify possible problems and solutions. In this respect, the research has a survey descriptive model. The sampling group of the study consists of 6 academic staff and 30 students at Mersin University. In the research process, the participants were interviewed. Regarding the results of the research, it was concluded that academic staff and students had found current conditions (Excess of the number of students, the lack of physicalconditions, academic staff, cadaver, training materials) unsatisfactory. The recommendations were made for improving the current conditions.
