While referring to the history of science it can be seen that mathematics and logic has a close relationship. Because the basic aim of these sciences is to bring up individuals who can use their mind actively and have an advanced reasoning power. In this research, firstly 6th grade mathematics course books are analysed to identify the the relationship between mathematics and logic in maths education and the applicability of this relation in 6th grade maths course books. Later a scale is applied , which is named (ılmea)the importance of logic in maths education and its applicability in 6th grade course books. Scale form is delivered to 217 mathematics teachers in the city center, in Elazığ. After analysing the scale forms it is seen that 6 th grade course books are not sufficient enough in terms of the mathematics-logic relation and some suggestions are proposed according to the results.
