Abstract:

In addition to ensuring the continuity of education, socialization and the existing political system, human power, which is the basic input of the production process, is expected to be trained (and thus a high investment in the future revenue for the individual and, if necessary, the society). The final function, called the economic function of education, focuses on the problem of conformity between the quality demand of the labour market and the qualities offered within the production system. For the production of the qualities required in the production process, individuals who are in high revenue expectations are expected to turn to educational investments of the public sector with the expectation of national revenue increase if necessary. Each evidence of the contribution of education to efficiency, personal profits** and national income increase provides a fundamental basis for educational investments and other educational policies. In this study, the qualities gained by education, the efficiency, the relationships between profits and the non-financial revenue of education and the discourses on excellence, studied from the perspective of different approaches, the discourses were reviewed in terms of educational policies.
