The purpose of the present study is to determine efficacy belief of primary school teachers. In the survey model study, “Teacher Efficacy Scale” was used to gather data. The scale developed by Woolfolk and Hoy (1990) was adapted to Turkish by the authors. The scale includes 22 likert type items to determine efficacy beliefs of teachers. Study group of the research consists of 250 teachers who work in primary schools in Ankara city centre. In the study, percentage, frequency, arithmetic average, t test and variance analysis were used. According to the findings obtained from the study, teachers’ views on “Teaching Efficacy” correspond to the answer: “I mostly agree” and those on “Personal Efficacy” to “I moderately agree”. There is no significant difference between their views on “Teaching Efficacy” according to teachers’ gender, field of study, educational background, seniority, age and the number of students to per teacher. As for “Personal Efficacy”, while there is no significant difference according to gender, field of study, educational background, seniority, and age, there is a significant one according to educational background, and number of students to per teacher
