Dünyanın geneli tarafından kabul edilen ve dünyanın ortak malı haline gelen küresel değerlerin ivme kazandığı günümüz modern dünyasında yerel paradigmalar minimum düzeyde kalmıştır. Küresel ekonomik, siyasi, sosyal ve kültürel ilişkiler dünyayı bilindik ve küçük bir yer haline getirmiş, dünyanın herhangi bir yerinde meydana gelen bir olay başka yerlerdeki yerel dinamikleri de şekillendirmeye başlamıştır. Bu bağlamda yerel dinamiklerin küresel değerleri şekillendirmesinden ziyade küresel değerlerin yerel dinamiklere etkilerinin hissedildiği bir dönemde yaşadığımızdan bahsedebiliriz. Öncelikle sanayileşmeyle birlikte üretilen ürünlerin satılması için ortaya çıkan pazar arayışına paralel olarak ekonomik ve ticari faaliyetlerin uluslararası bir hale gelmesi sonrasında bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerinde meydana gelen gelişmelerin insan hayatını şekillendirmeye başlaması küreselleşme sürecini hızlandırmıştır. Buhar gücünün gemilerde kullanılmasıyla küreselleşmenin ilk ortaya çıktığı dönem olan Sanayi Devrimi‟nin gerçekleştiği dönemde ulaşım ve ulaştırma bu sürece ne denli katkıda bulundu ise aynı şekilde sivil havacılık sektöründe meydana gelen gelişmelerin de ülkelerin küreselleşmeye olan entegrasyonlarını arttıracağı oldukça aşikardır. Çalışmada Türkiye‟de sivil havacılık bağlamında ulaşım sektöründe meydana gelen gelişmelerin küreselleşme sürecine katkıları incelenecektir
