The aim of this study is to determine the effect of safety climate perceptions of employees facing various types of risks in their workplaces on job performance and job satisfaction. For this purpose; data which is gathered through survey method that covers public workers employed (n=451) in different public institutions and organizations in Malatya province is analysed. According to results of the analysis (exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, correlation and regression analyses, Sobel test), it is figured that a positive safety climate perception of public workers affects employees’ job performance and job satisfaction positively and significantly. Moreover, job satisfaction does not have a mediating role in the relationship between safety climate and job performance in this process. The results are discussed comparing the studies in the literature.
