Abstract:

Çalışmanın amacı; tarihi, toplumsal, ideolojik ve kültürel değişimlerden etkilenerek içeriği, tanımı ve sınırları genişleyen sağlık olgusunun yaşadığı evrim sürecinin bir tasvirinin yapılmasıdır. Çalışmanın sonucunda değişen hekim kimliklerinin sağlığın kültürleştiğinin bir göstergesi olduğu bulunmuştur. İndirgemeci, hastane sınırlarını aşamayan, ilaç şirketleriyle çıkar ilişkisi bulunan ve ticarileşen sağlık olgusunun; bireylerin algılarını, davranışlarını, yaşama biçimlerini, dolayısıyla toplumsal hayatlarını dönüştüren bir yapı arz ettiği tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca sağlığın; yaşamı bir salgın ya da tedavi edilmesi gereken hastalık süreçleri gibi sunması, dolayısıyla hayatı tıbbileştirmesi, bireyleri sağlıkla ilişkili tüm ürünleri tüketmeye sevkettiği ortaya çıkmıştır.
