The aim of the study is to examine the hopelessness levels of the associate degree students and if there is any difference in hopelessness levels in terms of various variables (gender, class level, mother and father education status, income level, personality traits, quality of life, social relations). The universe of the study is composed by the students enrolled in Salihli Vocational School in 2017-2018 education year. The sample consists of 272 students voluntarily participated in the survey. In order to determine the hopelessness levels of the students who participated in the research, the “Beck Hopelessness Scale (BHS)” and personal questionnaire form are applied. Data from the study are tested with frequency and percentage distributions, descriptive statistics, Mann Whitney U and Kruskall Wallis tests. According to the research result, the level of hopelessness of the students participating in the research has a mild level (4.342 ± 3.627). This result shows that the students who are studying at Salihli Vocational School are not hopeless about the future. In addition, it is also found that there are significant differences (p <0.05) between the hopelessness level of the students and the variables such as income status, personality traits, quality of life and social relations of the families.
