Education systems can be credible as long as it fulfils the needs of individuals, looks out the individual differences and cause them gain the qualifications that will help them live in harmony with the era and the society they live in and allow self actualization. With the changing world, the human type the society needs naturally changes as well. At information societies with an approach that watches the individual differences, it is being tried to raise individuals that are creative, fast-thinking, who learned to be able to reach the improving information. With the change of understanding of education, as a result of improvements on education fields, there has been a change at teacher and students roles. Teachers are expected to be a leader to allow the students achieve their own learning, or guide them to learn, in other words. The purpose of this study is to investigate pre-service teachers’ learning styles and attitude towards teaching profession and also to explore the relationships between preservice teachers’ learning styles and attitude towards teaching profession. The population of the study consists of 1.320 pre-service teachers, studying at Siirt University, Faculty of Education. The sample of the study consists of 260 pre-service teachers chosen by stratified sampling method. The data was collected within the fall semester of 2011‐2012 educational year by means of attitude towards teaching profession scale developed by Üstüner (2006) and learning styles scale developed by Grasha and Riechmann (1994) and translated into Turkish by Uzuntiryaki, Bilgin and Geban (2003). Research results revealed that pre-service teachers’ attitudes towards teaching profession and the relationship between learning styles and attitudes towards teaching are at lower level.
