So many results that aren't mine?

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to observe the classroom leisure time activities of preschool teachers rendering service in Denizli from various aspects. The data of the study were collected by using the qualitative research method. The sample group of the study consisted of 44 female preschool teachers working in kindergartens of primary and secondary schools, independent kindergartens, as well as practice kindergartens of girls' vocational schools of the Ministry of National Education in the city center of Denizli. “Leisure Time Activity Observation Form”, which was developed by the researcher, was used as the data collection tool of the study. Structured observation technique was used in examining the leisure time activities of preschool teachers. At the beginning of the term, the teachers were informed that they would observe various activities of trainees throughout the term. Trainee students observed their training teachers as non-participant observers one day a week for 14 weeks, in terms of six questions in the Leisure Time Activity Observation Form. According to results, an important majority of teachers did their leisure time activities regularly. It was determined that leisure time activities of almost half of teachers in the sample group lasted for approximately 1-1,5 hours in the classroom. It was seen that at the beginning of leisure time activity, a great majority of teachers did not make an introduction such as gathering children and striking up a conversation. At the end of leisure time activity, almost all teachers, except for one, directly turned towards another activity. Almost half of classes what will be done during free time as decided by the children. It was also determined that a great majority of teachers did different things during their leisure time activity.
