Özet:

The purpose of this study was to reveal university students’ God perception and religion orientation forms and investigate the relationship between these two variables. In addition, whether God perception and religion orientation form scores changed in terms of gender and faculty type or not was also investigated. A total of 596 university students constituted the sample of the study. God Perception Scale and Revised Muslim Religion Orientation Scale were used as data collection instruments. The results pointed out the university students perceived God as loveoriented and with positive aspects. Among the Religion Orientation forms, the university students had highest score on internal religion orientation and lowest score on quest religion orientation. God perception score was positively correlated with intrinsic religion orientation and fundamental religion orientation, negatively correlated with quest religion orientation. Faculty type and gender was observed to make difference in God Perception and some sub-scale of Religion Orientation Scale.
