This descriptive research study aims to identify the opinions of students’ parents toward how today’s school principals should be trained. Within this scope, a total of 100 opinions of students’ parents were obtained in written via semi-structured interview forms. The study was designed based on phenomenological method in accordance with the qualitative research approach. According to results, while students’ parents described an ideal school principal as strong human affairs and leadership ability, well-disciplined and having vision and mission; they described inefficient school principal as person who is failing in communication, treating biased, not taking care of students. In addition, it was found that school principals should especially get psychology and management training and graduate degree in the theme of necessary training or education school principals should take. In line with these findings, the necessity of defining a school principal identity for every school has become a current issue
