The purpose of the study is to determine the perceptions of high school teachers about their level of problem solving skills and to find out whether their perceptions differ according to gender seniority branch marital status how many children they have the last school of graduation their mothers? and fathers? the level of education The research was conducted on 445 high school teachers working in Malatya city center during 2005 2006 academic year The data were collected using Problem Solving Inventory Form A PSI A In order to analyze the data t test One Way Anova LSD Kruskal Wallis H test and Mann Whitney U test were used Research results revealed that high school teachers perceived their problem solving skill levels as ?medium? Results also showed that there were statistically significant differences among teachers? perceptions according to their seniority the last school of graduation and the education level of teachers? mothers and fathers
