In this study the relationship between secondary education students? perceptions of their parents as democratic authoritative and protective and their strategies when making decisions has been investigated The study group of the research consists of a total of 560 students attending 9 10 11 and 12th grades 326 58 2 of whom are female and 234 41 8 of whom are male The data have been collected through ?Decision making Strategies Scale DSS ? ?Parent Attitude Inventory PAI ? and ?Personal Information Form? which was developed by the researchers The data has also been analyzed by using LSD test to compare the averages of which groups had differences after t test one way ANOVA and ANOVA tests and Chi square techniques ? to determine whether there is a meaningful relationship among the variables in which cross correlation was set It has been found out that there is a statistically meaningful difference in the decision making strategies of the students according to their parents? attitudes however there isn?t any meaningful difference in decision making strategies regarding gender and the educational level of father and mother
