Abstract:

(Commercial Mortagage Backed Securities-CMBS and Structuring of CMBS) Paralel to the rapidly develepoment of the capital markets, the financial instruments that are used in these markets are also developed and diversified. As the concept of securitizing assets has become widely accepted, certainly in US and increasingly around the world, asset types, such as “Commercial Mortgage” are considered for securitization. Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities-CMBS are one of rapidly growing segment of fixed income market. In view of the current and potancial growth of Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities-CMBS globally, its important to understand the reasons for being derived this financial instrument which has spesific characteristics. This paper aims to provide ageneral overview of CMBS structured process; help and facilitate understanding of CMBS, new financial instrument for our markets.
