Abstract:

(The Relation of Logistics Activities with Competition Strategies and Business Profit) The purpose of this study is to indicate and emphasize the relation of logistics activities with competition strategies and business profit. Logistics activities are a service field which have been doing for a long period of time and have a very important strategic position. Previous studies show that higher customer value can be reached and companies can be in front of their competitors by creating both value advantage and effectiveness advantage with logistics activities, which are done effectively and efficiently. The benefit expected from logistics activities in the companies also requires these activities to be treated in an integrated performance system. When the costs that companies should tolerate as a result of logistics activities are analyzed it is seen that cost reduction efforts in logistics costs affect business profit pretty much. In this study, the development and importance of logistics activities, performance standards of logistics, and emphasize the relation of logistics activities with competition strategies and business profit will be discussed and presented, in parallel with improvements in logistics sector.
