The impact of board structure and process on board performance and company performance has recently preoccupied the minds of researchers. In this study, the relationship between board structure, process and performance of firms in Aegean Region is investigated. In this context, questionnaire is applied to board members of 185 firms. According to findings, the relationship between the number of executive directors and monitoring role of board is not found. Moreover, there is no impact of the number of board members on board and firm performance. Also, it is not found any significant relationship between the number of independent board members and both board performance and firm performance.The result of study shows that board process isn’t affected negatively by CEO–chairman duality. Consequently, it is found that there is a positive and significant relationship between board process and board performance.
