5. ve 9. Sınıf Öğrencilerinin Ortaokul ve Liselerde Okutulan Seçmeli Peygamberimizin Hayatı Dersine Yönelik Görüşleri: Giresun Örneği

One of the freedoms gained by the birth of the person is freedom of religion. The right to learning one’s religion, which the individual has chosen, is guaranteed by both the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey and its sub-norms, and it has been accepted as the most natural human right. Even though some problems occurs in the religious learning area from time to time in the Republic of Turkey, which is remaining of the Ottoman empire, it seems these problems have been minimized as of now, and after 2012 in formal education elective religious education courses have begun to be taught. One of these elective courses is the Life of Prophet Muhammad whose name and program were changed. It has been taught since 2017-2018 for 5th and 9th grade students. In this study, we assessed the results of a survey by 339 students, who are composed of academic high schools and secondary schools in Giresun province, related to the course of the life of our Prophet The survey tried to evaluate the satisfaction levels of the students about educational materials and syllabus. The fact that Muhammad is a role-model prophet at high level, the acceptance of the prophet in the context of remedying the unrest in the society is an important finding to be evaluated. The answers given to the questions, about which characteristics of the Prophet should be emphasized in the context of the sample of the Prophet Muhammed, concluded what today's society need to answer to the problems of love and communication and otherization.
