This paper investigates the relation between the efficiency of listed deposit banks in the Istanbul Stock Exchange and its stock returns for the period 2006-2011. First it is used data envelopment analysis to estimate the efficiency of the deposit banks. Then to investigate for the statistical relationship between the efficiency and stock return used the panel data analysis. It is found that deposit banks’ efficiency averages TECRS is 0,983, TEVRS is 0,996 and resulting in a SE of 0,987.As a result of the panel data analysis indicates a statistically insignificant relationship between the efficiency of deposit banks and its stock returns.
