Being more knowledgeable about financial system is important for increasing individual savings and better managing potential financial risks. The increased level of financial literacy helps individuals in making better financial decisions. In this study, a questionnaire was administered to the students of University of Gaziantep in order to assess the students’ financial literacy levels. The financial literacy levels of students were analyzed based on different demographics. As a result of the study, the general financial literacy success level of students is 48%. The financial literacy level of male students is higher compared to female students. Having credit cards and use of internet banking are found to be related to the financial literacy. The results show that students are most knowledgeable about individual banking and least knowledgeable about investments. Also, students seem to be more interested about information related to current financial issues.
