Need for cognition and metacognition are significant concepts for individual rsquo;s own control self learning and self regulation in thinking process The main purpose of this study is to determine how well gender age and need for cognition predict the metacognitive awareness According to the findings the proposed model significantly predicts metacognitive awareness [F 3 244 =16 20] Findings suggest that need for cognition significantly predicts metacognitive awareness of university students however the relationship between metacognitive awareness and need for cognition is moderate and negative It means that the individuals rsquo; whose metacognitive awareness high has low need for cognition level nbsp;
