Abstract:

The European Investment Bank is an international financing institution that supports the development of the European Union member and candidate countries. Turkey at various times after the conclusion of the union membership application to the European Union has signed a number of financial protocols. Within the framework of these financial protocols, the bank has an important place in the financing of Turkish private sector projects. In order to credit for financing private sector projects in Turkey, bank benefits from project evaluation and financing services of private sector development banks and state-owned specialized banks. In line with the historical development process, the article includes the strategies implemented by the European Investment Bank for the loans granted to private sector projects in our country, banks that have taken part in the use of credit, the conditions for granting loans and their application areas. The article consists of the theoretical literature review as well as the information obtained from the activity reports of the banks that use the credit.
