Abstract:

The idea of an information society, entered the world's agenda with the information age and the post-industrial society discussions. In this type of society, information is being defined as a force that shapes developed economies also to be defined as an important power affecting the nature of the occupations as well as the quality of the work and production. Information is being seen as a commodity bought and sold in the market. Commercial integration of knowledge has led to the formation of an entirely new industry in the modern economy. Informatıon society shows ıt's characteristics mostly in the cities. So in this final stage this situation creates the information cities. In today's world, where global competition conditions prevail, the separation of the domestic market and foreign markets has disappeared, information cities has been the savior of nations and firms. Information cities are important tools to become an information society. Information cities are named as technocity, technopark and technological park at different sources. This study aims to examine the case of urban change and information cities in the way of becoming an information society, depending on the advances in every field at recent years.
