Özet:

It is known that human beings didn’t live in the city or permanent settlement at the beginning of their first emerging at the earth, it happened when they learned how to hunt. Thereafter with the beginning of agriculture villages have been appeared. This situtation have been signified the closing of the stone age and the beginning of neolithic age. In addition to this, it is said that cities emerged with the invention of writing. However, there are researches which explain that there were cities which didn’t have writing with examples, and the connection between city and writing is decayed. It is true that division of labor, class and stratification, specialization, scientific developments, trade and industrialization, technologic and socioeconomic developments contribute to reach the societies from cities which form from hunting to agriculture and then writing to present day cities. It is experienced with different type of cities when to examined the city concept from the beginning to nowadays already. In this context, the city is defined as “settlement unit which consist of little neighbourhood unit and has intenser population from villages and also less people do agriculture in there, this unit serves the purpose of people like settlement, sheltering, traffic, working, recreation and entertainment and it has always social development.” Nowadays the city profile is affectes by the socioeconomic transitions which have effective globalization processes and technologic development. From the last decades ago, “pc for all house” was an utopic for people, nowadays knowledge and communication technologies like as internet enter people lifes expeditiously.
