The increasing proportional amount of intangible assets in total assets developed the significance of measuring and presentation of intangible assets on financial statements for financial information clients. As one of the most sophisticated topics of accounting, this paper studies measuring and presenting the intangible assets in viewpoint of the Communique of Accounting Application System (CAAS), Tax Procedure Law (TPL) and Accounting/Financial Reporting Standards. Nevertheless valuation, presentation and amortization of intangible assets are comprehensively discussed with the regulations similarities and dissimilarities. The results of this paper indicate that Turkish Accounting Standards 38 and Turkish Financial Reports Standards for Small and Medium sized Enterprises section 18 strongly coincides. However the approach of Accounting/ Financial standards differs than CAAS, TPL.
