In this research, it was aimed to reveal the components used in the vision and mission expressions of the universities in Turkey and England and to determine the similarities and differences between them. For this purpose, vision and mission statements which mentioned on the websites of universities in Turkey (n= 183) and in England (n= 125) have been examined. In the study, a qualitative research design phenomology was used and the data were analyzed through content analysis method. As a result of the analysis, the vision and mission statements of the universities of both countries were discussed in terms of similarities and differences within the context of the components identified.
