Abstract:

Waqf use of a person’s assets or the income is to offer social purpose. Waqfs born and developed in throughout the history of the Islamic States. It has provided lots of contribution development of States. They built various waqfs everywhere they conquered. Foundations have experienced the most advanced period during the Ottoman Empire. Waqfs continued their activites during for centuries. Waqfs ensured the continuity for centuries, because law and accounting records was very important. In this study, Tokat Hatuniye Waqf’s documents were examined. And aimed to explain Tokat Hatuniye Waqf’s accounting and activities in the 17. Century. Finally waqf was care and diligence in records so continued their all activities for centuries.
