In this study, the mode of production of the regional management, which dominated the Turkish cinema in the period between 1960 and 1980, and the Adana Region Management which is prominent in this period will be tried to be analyzed with a contextual approach as one of the cultural, political, institutional and industrial determinants of the cinema sector. In the 1960s, the Turkish cinema was divided into 6 business districts. The Regional Manager has undertaken the distribution of the films for which it has agreed upon in its territory. Increasing interest in cinema in Anatolia has made the regional management a key determinant of 60’s productions. In the region management, the operator affected the producer with the advance given; while the producer provided the production of the film with the bond system, the operator also ensured the next movie. Reactions and expectations of the audiences have been delivered to the producer by the regional managers, and they have been decisive in the selection of subject, genre and actors. The mode of production based on the advance of the regional managers caused inflation in the number of films over time, and the stereotypes and templates were formed and concessions started to be made. Adana Regional Management is one of the determining regions in this mode of film productione which is unique to Turkey between 1960-1980. Adana region operation is the biggest region covering 21 provinces and it has been a big influence producers in Istanbul. In addition to the contextual approach, oral history and archive scanning will be used in this study.
