Abstract:

Recently, there have been many changes in the economic, social, technological and ecological aspects in the world. Problems such as rapid population growth, wars, migrations, disasters, especially poverty caused by economic recession, directly affect the social work profession. These situations deepen existing problems and create new social problems. International organizations have worked to draw attention to these global issues and to identify common points of action. The international organizations in social work have also created Global Agenda in order to show the role of social work related to the mentioned problems in this direction. Global Agenda has set out to create a more equitable and sustainable world from a social perspective. In this study, the philosophy, historical background, scope and commitments of Global Agenda are discussed.
