One of the most important human’s attributes is considering about his presence and give meaning to goings on around. Person enters into philosophical tendency from the moment on he/she starts to think about himself/herself and external world. Philosophy is adopted by human forms usually through education. In profession of teaching, adopted philosophy effects to work life completely as in all professions. Teachers arrange their behaviors by adopted philosophy of education in class; and they are influenced by philosophy of education when they decide on education and training. On account of this situation, the determination of adopted philosophy of education helps to arranging educational environment and applications, determining course content and eliminating training program’s deficiencies. The basic aim of this work is to investigating philosophy of education adopted by Turkish teacher candidates through certain variables. The population of the study consisted of a total of 171 prospective teachers who studied Turkish Education Department at Dicle University Ziya Gökalp Education Faculty during the spring term of the educational year 2016-2017. The data were collected via the “Philosophy Preference Assessment Scale”. They were analyzed through SPSS 20. The findings were discussed and some suggestions were present.
