Abstract:

Kütahya pottery art began in the Chalcolithic period, 14th. It is seen that after centuries it left its place to the art of the Ottoman period tilemaking. In this study. Investigation of the causes of the ups and downs that lived in Republican period tile art and it is aimed to present the solution proposals by identifying and sharing the problems in them. As  universe, the art of tile making has been handled and limited to Kütahya tile. This research was carried out with the general screening model of qualitative research methods,literature review and information obtained from individual interviews with, The causes of the general problems in Kütahya tiles were tried to be reached. When you look at the process of formation and development of Anatolian ceramics, you will see that the world is home to the richest cultures. Kutahya ceramic art, Chalcolithic, Bronze Age, Phrygian, Hittite, Roman, Hellenistic Age, Byzantines, Seljuks, who have completed their term with Emirates period and Ottoman, the Republican Period shows that continued on his way with Turkey. As a result, the commercial concerns that arise from the general increase in population in Turkey create, causing a decrease in the quality of ceramic art.
