In this study, it was aimed to investigate the factors affecting teacher motivation in schools comperatively, especially in the context of the effects of recent education policies and from the point of view of administrators and teachers. The research is designed with qualitative research methodology. The participants of the research are 10 school administrators and 10 teachers. Research data obtained through semi-structured interviews were analyzed using content analysis and descriptive analysis. The results of the research showed that teacher motivation is affected by in-school and parent related factors as well as the general politics such as the FATIH Project, 12 year compulsory education system, curriculum studies, and stability in educational policies. Additionally, there are significant differences in teacher and administrator opinions on teacher motivation.
