The aim of this research is to determine whether there is a meaningful effect of applied note taking while listening activities on writng skills at A2 and B1 levels in teaching Turkish as a foreign language. This research has a classic experimental setting. It is an experimental study with pretest posttest groups. In 2016-2017 academic year, in Mersin University Turkish Teaching Research and Application Center the control group consists of 14 students that have studied in Turkish preparation class at A2 level in the phase of pretest and also the experimental group consists of 13 students of them. During the experiment process, note taking activities. While listening have been done for 4 weeks. In the applications of pretest and post test, both groups have been given various writing topics. A scale has been developed by being benefitted from literature and receiving expert opinion to determine the writing skills. When the pretest and posttest are evaluated, the average of both different raters is taken to provide rater reliability. In the result of this research, it has been analyzed whether there is a significant effect of note taking while listening activities that are applied at A2 and B1 levels in teaching Turkish as a foreign language.
