Abstract:

The short psychological well-being measurement is developed to measure the levels of psychological well-being of individuals. The purpose of this study is to make the Turkish adaptation of the KPSÖ and to study its psychometric characteristics. The study included 295 students (186 women / 109 men). The psychometric characteristics of the measurement have been studied through internal consistency, detection and verification factor analysis and measurement-related validity methods. The outcome of the detection and verification factor analysis has come to the conclusion that the scale has a single-factor structure. The internal consistency ratio for KPSS was found at .83. In the context of measurement-related validity, there have been positive relationships between the KPSO and the Oxford happiness scale, the Ego strength scale and the Connor Davidson psychological strength scale. As a result, it can be said that KPSÖ is a valid and reliable measurement tool that can be used in the measurement of psychological stability in university students.
