It is a very important issue to make visible again our cultural heritage, which surrounds our everyday life, which we are always together with, but which many of us are unaware of. For this reason, the starting point of researching is how to regain to society cultural assets that have lost their importance, features and function today, and how to produce solution them by making them live and transfer them to future generations. Unfortunately, we have many cultural heritages which encountering this situation, in our country. One of them is the 'Madrasas' which has lost its function today. Despite the fact that education and training activities started in the mosques, educational institutions were started to be organized with the aim of making them systematic and regular. In this direction, the education and training activities have been made more regular and systematic by the opening of the Madrasas. Nowadays, because the madrasas have lost their functions, some are abandoned to fate and ruined, while some are transformed by giving new functions such as museums and cultural centres, so social and everyday life is abstracted. Through this research, the troubles experienced by Mardin Kasımiye (Sultan Kasım) Madrasa, which is now used as the Al-Jezeri museum, will be tried to be discovered. it will be investigated without the creation of strategic plans and without sufficient analysis, that the proposed retrofitting programs actually damage the Historical cultural assets' sustainability of the structure. In the light of the information obtained, proposals will be made about the medreseye. As a result; it was aimed to develop strategies to develop, by identifying the positive and negative aspects, by taking advantage of the SWOT analysis to establish the strategic plans for the sustainability of the madrasa and integrated to society.
