The future of a country is also related to the healthy birth and growth of children in that country as well as their education. Therefore, the establishment of conditions to ensure that children come to the world in a healthy way and grow up in a healthy manner is among the priority issues in many countries of the world. Because of its importance, this study focuses on the modeling of the number of deaths of children under five years old in OECD countries. Biased estimation techniques proposed as an alternative to the least squares technique have been applied in this study because of presence of the multicollinearity between variables considered to be effective on the mortality of children under five years old. Ridge and Liu estimators have been used for this purpose and the results of the analysis have been compared with least squares estimates.
