Abstract:

It seems that the origins of the Mimesis extend to ancient times.  It is obvious that the ancient philosophers have tried to reach the knowledge of truth and essance when they are faced with the problem of acquaintance and recognition of human beings. This effort has led to the emergence of a philosophical conception that influenced daylight from the antiquity. Ancient Period philosophical and artistic mind and thinking are  especially studied in the study. The opinions and views of the important representatives of this period were emphasized. In the study, it is a preparation research in terms of the influence of ideas and opinions from Ancient Period to later periods. In this research, it was aimed to make a contribution by examining the effects to philosophy and to art that emerged in the Ancient Period. In this context, the emergence of mimesis theory has been investigated, taking into account the views of philosophers in the Ancient Period. In this study where literature research technique is used, it is investigated that the concepts such as good, useful, useful, moral and conformity which have problems of art and philosophy are emerged from the Ancient Period until today are emerged. It has been determined where are used in which mania.
