With the aim of “being the most competitive information society and information economy” in the year 2010, necessary economic and social reforms has already been put into practice by the European Union (EU). Same effords are not enough in Turkey as a country making sacrifices for years to be the full member of the EU. There are significant differences between EU countries and Turkey in terms of indicators of information economy. All those sacrifices that has been made will be in vain and will be multiplied unless these differences are eliminated.This study aims to introduce the inefficiency of the effords that have been made by Turkey to create information economy. For this purpose, in our study, Turkey and the member countries have been put through a dynamic comperative analysis in terms of some of the basic indicators of information economy. Some evaluations have been made by using World Bank and OECD data
