This study aims at finding out the relationship between job difficulties characteristics of the primary school teachers and their organizational commitment level. To collect data a questionnaire was used. The scale is composed of three parts. In the first part, there are items to elicit answers about job difficulty characteristics of the teachers in the Primary Schools; the second part includes the Organizational Commitment Scale developed by P.J. Meyer, & J.N. Allen the third part is composed of the Demographics Factors Scale developed by the researcher himself. The validity of the scales was tested by reliability analysis and the experts. The questionnaire was applied by sending the questionnaire via Gaziantep İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü to 5367 teachers (including managerial stuff) in the 2006-2007 academic years. 1742 questionnaires were answered and sent back by the teachers. 825 of them were eliminated because of improper answers. The analysis was carried out by using 917 questionnaires. Collected data were analyzed by using SPSS 16. The perceived job difficulties of the teachers in the Primarily Schools and their organizational commitment were determined. Whether the points related to teachers’ job difficulty change with respect to age, gender, service years, education level, work place, marital status, working spouse, the number of children, income was tested by variance analysis. As a result, it investigated relationship between job difficulty characteristics of the teachers in the primary school and their organizational commitment level
