The purpose of this study is to investigate the academic procrastination behaviors and human values of the students of secondary education by gender, age, class, school type and parental educational background. The study was conducted using general survey model. The universe of the study is the students attending secondary education schools in Konya. 289 female and 344 male students, 633 in total, attending six different secondary education schools in central districts of Konya participated in the study. For the research group, students attending these secondary schools were selected randomly. Human Values Scale developed by Dilmaç (2007) and “Academic Procrastination Scale ” developed by Çakıcı (2003) to determine the academic procrastination behaviors of students were the tools used in order to collect data. the Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient was used to determine the relationship between the lower dimensions of human values scale and academic procrastination scale. Regression technique was used for the prediction of academic procrastination behavior of human values scale. T test was conducted to find out if there was a difference between human values and academic procrastination and gender; and variance analysis was performed to determine if there was a difference between lower dimensions of human values scale and academic procrastination and the variables of class, parental educational background and school type of students. When the findings were examined, it was seen that there was a difference between lower dimensions of human values and academic procrastination scales; and lower dimensions of human values scale could predict the academic procrastination behavior
