This study aims to determine the effect of emotional intelligence competencies of primary school principals on teachers’ job satisfaction. The sample of the study was 50 school principals and 997 teachers who were selected randomly with stratified sampling method. Data were analyzed by hierarchical multiple linear regression method. Findings of this study indicate that emotional intelligence and emotional labor competencies of principals significantly predict teachers’ job satisfaction. The results of the mediation tests show that principals’ emotional labor is partial mediator of the relationship between principals’ emotional intelligence and teachers’ job satisfaction levels.
