Abstract:

Ceramics and tile sector has a significant place in economy specifically in Kütahya and generally in Turkey. It will be useful to determine the state and problems of the sector in Kütahya which is among the traditional arts and to purpose suggestions to solve the problems. A survey was prepared for this purpose and it was applied to the businesses in Kütahya. The results were evaluated with the help of SPSS 15 package programme. Thus, the general profile of the sector and its workers were revealed. Moreover, the production and marketing problems of the sector were determined and solution suggestions were proposed
