The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between behavior style of leader and occupational commitment. With the purpose, the study was concluded on trainees who are considered as the most appropriate sample group that leadership style has direct effect on occupational commitment. Data was collected by survey from 93 certified public accountants’ (CPA) trainees in Black Sea Region. MLQ Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire Form 5X (Bass, 1985, Avolio and Bass, 1999) and Career Commitment Scale (Blau, 1985) were used during collecting data. Data were evaluated by factor, reliability, correlation and regression analyzes. According to the results it was revealed that level of trainees’ occupational commitment was moderate and their commitments’ level was changed according to their education level and duration of training. In addition, it was determined that participants’ perception of transformational leadership behavior was high, while the perception of transactional leadership behavior was low. Both types of leadership behavior had significant relationship with occupational commitment
